According to latest information given on the official website of SHC, The case has been adjourned till 17 May 2017 (Wednesday) at 11:00 AM. The case will decide the fate of 18000 hajj applicants whoi are present in “Waiting List” in the Government hajj scheme for 2017AD/1438AH.

By the time goes, embrassment is increasing termendously and pressure of this uncertainity is indeed painful for the waiting list candidates. I urged the government to take immediate and appropriate action for the resolution of this hot burning issue and devise efficient legislation in such a way that turn around time of these critical cases may be minimized in days to come enabling judiciary to release their verdict without any delay. Please note that people don’t have such capacity to allow the involved mafia in such money making game to make play with their sentiments. The purpose of proposed Hajj journey is very sacred and we pray that this should be deal with the same spirit by the honorable Sindh High court by provision of justice to approximately 18000 waiting list applicants.

Today I contacted the Hajj Ministry in Islamabad,who informed me that based on the supreme court decision yesterday the Sindhi high court case will have no meaning. In short the waiting list candidates stand successful Insha Allah and will be informed with in a couple of days.

Today I contacted the hajj wing of MORA in I Islamabad and they told me that based on the decision of the supreme court on 17th of this month in a contempt of court case against MORA 60-40 quota remains intact and hence waiting list will be declared successful in couple of days Insha Allah. No need to wait for sindh high court.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court expressed serious concern over the ‘monopoly’ of some Hajj tour operators, observing that the federal government was facilitating the exploitation of intending pilgrims at the hands of 743 Hajj tour operators.
The three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, directed the ministry of religious affairs to reframe the policy for the distribution of 40 per cent quota to private tour operators, also known as Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs).
The bench asked the ministry to consider 2,033 new tour operators, who were not granted Hajj quotas in view of the court’s 2013 judgment.
Following the recommendations of the Competition Commission of Pakistan, the court urged the ministry to set up a panel for formulating criteria for HGOs, including third-party evaluations.
“The policy must be reviewed/reframed in accordance with the foregoing and a compliance report be submitted within 30 days of receiving this order,” the order stated.
On Wednesday, the court issued an 18-page verdict in a contempt case against the ministry of religious affairs for not allocating quotas to new HGOs in view of its August 27, 2013 decision.

According to latest news update today proceedings took place in Hajj Quota case. Honorable justice / judge has saved the judgement. It is expected the decision/orders/judgement will be announced today till 05:00PM. While other resources are telling that it may be announced tomorrow.

جج صاحب کو پتہ ہی نہیں یہ کیس لیٹ ہوا تو کیا ہوگا۔ اُسکا خیال ہیکہ وہ کوئ دیوانی مُقدمہ سُن رہا ہے۔
اس کو اصل نتائج کا پتہ ہی نہیں ورنہ وہ یہ کیس سنتا ہی نہیں۔
در اصل کیس کی جو اصل بنیاد ہے وہ یہ ہے کہ حکومت نے پرائیویٹ آپریٹرز کا کوٹا کم کر کے سُپریم کورٹ کی بے حُرمتی Contempt تو نہیں کی۔
وہ سمجھتا ہے کہ بے حرمتی ہوی یا نہیں ہوی فرق کیا پڑتا ہے۔ اُسے معلوم ہی نہیں ہماری جانوں پہ کیا گُذر رہی ہے۔ لاکھوں روپے حکومتی خزانے میں جمع کیے ہیں۔ ہم نے اپنی زندگی لٹکائی ہوی ہے۔ نہ کوئ کام کر سکتے ہین اور نہ ہی کوئ پروگرام بنا سکتے ہیں ظاہر ہےزندگی ایک بڑی خواہش کی خاطر سب کچھ ایک طرف کیا ہے۔
اُسے کیا معلوم اس کیس کی کیا اہمئیت ہے ورنہ پہلی تاریخ میں کارج ہی کر چُکا ہوتا۔
