ICC Released New Test Rankings – Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi got Promotion
Pakistan has drawn the test series against the West Indian team by 1-1 ratio. 1st Test Match was won by West Indies, While one was snatched by Green Shirts.
At the end of the series between West Indies and Pakistan, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest Test rankings, according to which Pakistan’s Babar Azam moved up from eighth to seventh while Shaheen Shah Afridi joined the top ten bowlers.
Babar Azam Ranking
In the latest ICC rankings, Pakistani captain Babar Azam has moved up a notch from eighth to the seventh position.
Babar is the only Pakistani batsman in the top ten Test players rankings, while Mohammad Rizwan is 19th and Fawad Alam, the second Test century-maker against the West Indies, is 21st.
Ken Williamson at 1st in Ranking
New Zealand captain Ken Williamson tops the list of batsmen, England captain Joe Root is second, Australia’s Steve Smith is third, while India’s Virat Kohli remains fifth.
Shaheen Afridi New Ranking
In the bowlers’ rankings, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi, who became the man of the series after taking 18 wickets in two Tests against the West Indies, has moved up ten places to eighth position.
1st and 2nd Position in Bowling
Australia’s Pat Cummins is first and India’s Ravi Chandra Ashwin is second. New Zealand’s Tim Southee still holds the third position.
All Rounders Ranking
Similarly, West Indies’ Jason Holder is number one in all-rounders.
