The main candidates come from parties including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamat e Islami (JI), Pakistan Markazi Muslim Laeque (PMML), Tehreek e Labaik Pakistan (TLP) and Mutehhada Qaumi Movement (MQM) but there are also many independents running for election. It’s uncertain who will come out on top in the general election scheduled for February 8, 2024.
