PTI Won Lahore Cant Board Ward No 6 By Election Against PMLN
Lahore (Tuesday, 28th March 2017) – Two day ago in Lahore by election held on the seat of member cantonment board. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf regain his own seat. The contest was between tow major political parties i.e PTI and PMLN. Cantt board seat was declared vacant due to death of member Mr. Muhammad Taimor Akhtar elected on the ticket of P.T.I. in election held on 25th April 2015.
In by election the contest was between PTI’s candidate Mrs. Naseem Zohra and PML-N’s candidate Javaid Zamir. The election symbol of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was bat. While election symbol of Pakistan Muslim league (Nawaz) was tiger. Both parties organized their election campaign with enthusiasm.
On Sunday by election PTI’s candidate Mrs. Naseem Zohra won election with great majority. She got double numbers of votes against her rival Mr. Javaid Zameer. Mrs Naseem Zohra received 1459 votes. While Javed Zamir obtained only 720 votes.
In the election of 2015 the PTI’s candidate (late) Muhammad Taimoor Akhtar got 1020 votes. While his close rival candidates were Jamat e Isalami Pakistan’s candidate Major retired Iftikhar Ahmad Awan and independent candidate Irfan Akbar. There was no candidate contesting on the election symbol of PMLN.

After the success the workers of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf celebrated their success. The chanted “Go Nawaz Go” slogan. and dance in the streets of Askari-X Lahore cantonment. MPA of PP-147 Lahore Mr. Shuaib Siddiqui joined the PTI workers.
