In Sindh province, today polling held on the two provincial assembly seats. One lies in district Sanghar, While another seat belongs to District Malir in the Karachi Division.
The strong contest saw on the Malir Sindh Assembly seat of PS-88. The contestants are PPP’s Mr. Muhammad Yousif Baloch, MQM’s Sajid Ahmad and PTI’s candidate Jansher Junejo. While seventeen candidates more are also contesting on the same constituency of the Sindh Assembly.

- Jan Sher Junejo (PTI) Votes = 4753
- Syed Kashif Ali Shah (TLP) = 4476
- Sajid Ahmad (MQM) Votes = 2634

Sindh Government on Friday (12th Feb) announced a public holiday on February 16 in Malir district due to by-polls.
As per the notification issued by the provincial government, 16 February will be a public holiday in constituency PS-88 Malir-II on account of by-elections to facilitate the voters to cast their votes.
The arrangements for the by-polls in the said constituency have been finalized by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Meanwhile, as many as 108 polling stations have been set up for the by-poll in the PS-88 Malir-II out of which 36 declared sensitive and 33 others were declared highly sensitive.
The seat fell vacant due to the death of PPP MPA and provincial minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch due to the novel coronavirus infection in June last year.
