The nomination papers of Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Hamad Azhar were rejected from the National Assembly seat, while the nomination papers were accepted from the Provincial Assembly seat. The nomination papers of Hammad Azhar from NA-129 Lahore were also rejected in the Appellate Tribunal.
The Tribunal upheld the Returning Officer’s decision and dismissed Hamad Azhar’s appeal against the RO’s decision.
The Returning Officer rejected the nomination papers of Hamad Azhar on the ground of absconding.
On the other hand, the nomination papers of Hammad Azhar and his father Mian Azhar from PP 171 Lahore were accepted. The Returning Officer had rejected Hamad Azhar’s papers for non-appearance of proposal and endorser.
The Appellate Tribunal accepted the papers of Hamad Azhar and Mian Azhar on the proposal and appearance of the proponent.
