NA 81: Recounting of votes, PML-N candidate declared successful
In Gujranwala, the defeated candidates of the Muslim League (N) were declared successful after the re-counting of the votes of National Assembly Constituency NA-81. The returning officer says that PML-N candidate Azhar Qayyum Nahra has been declared successful with a margin of 3201 votes.
It should be noted that before According to Result NA-81 Gujranwala Bilal Ijaz, an independent candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), won by a margin of 7791 votes. PML-N’s Azhar Qayyum Nahra challenged the election results after which the Election Commission ordered a recount of votes in 75 polling stations.

- Azhar Qayyum Nahra (PMLN) Votes = 110057 (Winner)
- Bilal Ejaz Virk (IND) Votes = 106860 (Runner-up)

گوجرانوالہ میں قومی اسمبلی کے حلقہ این اے 81 کے ووٹوں کی دوبارہ گنتی کے بعد مسلم لیگ (ن) کے ہارے ہوئے امیدوار کامیاب قرار پاگئے۔ ریٹرننگ آفیسر کا کہنا ہے کہ ن لیگ کے امیدوار اظہر قیوم ناہرہ کو 3201 ووٹوں کی برتری سے کامیاب قرار دے دیا گیا ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ این اے 81 گوجرانوالہ سے پہلے پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) کے حمایت یافتہ آزاد امیدوار بلال اعجاز 7791 ووٹوں کی برتری سے کامیاب ہوئے تھے۔ ن لیگ کے اظہر قیوم ناہرا نے انتخابی نتائج کو چیلنج کیا تھا جس کے بعد الیکشن کمیشن نے 75 پولنگ اسٹیشنز کے ووٹوں کی دوبارہ گنتی کا حکم دیا تھا۔
