NA 249 By Election Result
The by-election polls for NA-249 constituency is being held today on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
In NA-249 by-election, a total of 339,591 voters will be eligible to exercise their franchise.
While the number of female voters is 137,935, 276 polling stations have been set up to exercise the right to vote, of which 76 are for pure male polling stations, 61 for pure female polling stations and 139 for polling stations.
There are a number of stations where polling booths have been set up for both men and women.
Candidates
Among the candidates contesting in the NA-249 constituency is Miftah Ismail of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Syed Mustafa Kamal of Pak Sarzamin Party, and Pakistan Tehreek. Amjad Iqbal Afridi of Insaf, Qadir Khan Mandokhel of Pakistan Peoples Party, Nazeer Ahmed Kamalvi of banned Tehreek-e-Labeek Pakistan, and Hafiz Muhammad Mursalin of Muttahida Qaumi Moment Pakistan are in the National Assembly. Resigned from In the 2018 general elections, Faisal Wawda won with 35,349 votes, while his rival, PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif, came in second with 34,626 votes. 2018 Election Result
In the 2018 general elections,.131,185 voters cast their votes which is 39.58% of the total voters. In the 2018 elections, 2684 votes were declared invalid. Were given.
In the past, the difference in votes between some of the winning and losing candidates in this constituency has been only a few hundred or a few thousand.
Shahbaz Sharif lost NA-249 in 2018 by 723 votes. In 1993, PML-N’s Ijaz Ahmed Shafi won by a margin of only 266 votes over the PPP candidate. In 1997, Ijaz Shafi won again and the MQM candidate came in second with a margin of 2,783.
The third and fourth place candidates had just got good votes. This by-election is also likely to be a fork in the road between several parties.
ECP Fresh Order
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Assembly members Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Bilal Ghaffar have been ordered by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to withdraw from NA-249 constituency immediately.
Election Commission DR Owais Nadeem Haider has ordered Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Bilal Ghaffar to withdraw from NA-249 constituency of the National Assembly. By-polls are underway in this constituency today.
District Returning Officer (DRO) Mr. Syed Nadeem Haider has written a letter to the police in this regard in which he said that no member of the Assembly can come during the polling.
He further said that Firdous Shamim Naqvi has been ordered to leave the constituency immediately over the phone.
