The third T20 match between Pakistan and England, Pakistan defeated England after which the three-match series ended in a draw.
The third match of the three-match Twenty20 series between Pakistan and English cricket teams on the tour of England started at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester in which England won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat.
Despite a cautious start, Pakistan lost the first wicket in the second over. Fakhar Zaman was bowled by Moin Ali. Haider Ali showed dangerous intentions by hitting a six on the second ball. Babar Azam hit 3 fours in a row to Saqib Mahmood. The captain had scored 21 runs when he was bowled by Tom Kieran.
Haider Ali became the first Pakistani to hit fifty off 28 balls in his debut
When Mohammad Hafeez joined, Haider Ali continued to bat confidently and hit several fours. Hafeez hit two sixes in Adil Rashid’s over. Haider Ali’s fifty was completed on 28 balls. He became the first Pakistani to do so on his debut.
Pakistan scored 190 for 4 in the allotted overs, with Mohammad Hafeez remaining unbeaten on 86 and Emad Wasim on 6. In English bowlers, Jordan took two wickets while Moin Ali and Kieran took one wicket each.
In pursuit of the Pakistani team’s target, the English team lost courage by 185 runs, and 8 players were dismissed. English player Moin Ali dominated who scored 61 runs including four sixes and four fours. Other notable players include Benton (46), Million (7), Morgan (10), Billings (26), and Gregory (12).
In the Pakistan bowling side, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wahab Riaz took two wickets each while Emad Wasim and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.
Two players were run out. Pakistan’s Muhammad Hafeez was declared man of the match for his unbeaten 86 runs.
