“Chacha Cricket” Uncle Cricket denied the news of his death

Uncle Cricket, Pakistan’s biggest cricket enthusiast, known as Sufi Abdul Jalil, has denied reports of his death.

News was circulating on social media that Uncle Cricket had passed away, in response to which he recorded a video message and said that he was alive and well.


Rumors about Uncle Cricket’s death arose when the Pakistan Cricket Board shared the news of the death of head curator Haji Bashir from a heart attack.



The PCB also attached a picture of Haji Bashir in its tweet which people thought was uncle cricket and thus rumors of his death started circulating.

Chacha Cricket’s Video Message on Social media

“Death is real and everyone has to come one day,” he said in a video message.

Uncle Cricket said, “May Allah guide anyone who has spread rumors about my death.”

The real name of Chacha Cricket is Haji Jalil ul Rehman. He lives in Pakistani Punjab’s city of Sialkot.
