Today polling was held in Dera Ismail Kham for the Tehsil Mayor election of local body Phase I. The said elections were postponed due to the death of an ANP candidate.
The General public holiday has been announced yesterday on Saturday all over the DI Khan district.

A total of three hundred and two polling stations has been established all over the Dera Ismail Khan Tehsil. While 68 Polling Station has been declared most sensitive.
More than 7000 police official has been deployed to maintain law and order in the area.

PTI’s Umar Amin Gandapur elected Dera Ismail Khan City Mayor
In Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election. According to unconfirmed unofficial results, Umar Amin Gandapur was elected DI Khan City Mayor.
He got 63753 Votes.
Kafil Nizami of JUI came second, Muhammad Kafil Ahmed of JUI got 38,891 votes and Faisal Karim Kundi of PPP came third.

Votes of PTI Candidate (Umer Amin Gandapur) =63753 (Winner)
Votes of PPP Candidate (Faisal Karim Kundi) = 30710
