In the General Elections 2018, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) once again managed to take seat from the Matiari district. Pakistan Peoples Party won seat from the NA-232 Matiari.
Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim league Quaid e Azam won no seats.

As a Result of the General Elections 2018, Pakistan Peoples Party won all of the 2 seats from the PS-58 Matiari and PS-59 Matiari. None of the other rivaling Party including Pakistan Tehreek e INsaaf, Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim league Quaid e Azam, won any seat from the Provincial Assembly seats in Matiari.
