Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has become the fastest cricketer to score 7000 runs in T20 cricket. He crossed this milestone in 187 innings and broke the record of aggressive West Indies batsman Chris Gayle.
Babar Azam broke this record in the match between Central Punjab and Southern Punjab in the National T20 Championship.
Before this match, Babar Azam needed four runs to complete 7,000 runs.

Babar Azam crossed this milestone in 8 years and 10 months of his debut, he is the first batsman to complete 7000 T20 runs in less than nine years.
It may be recalled that in April this year, Babar Azam also set a record of the fastest 2,000 international T20 runs.
For this record, he had surpassed India’s Virat Kohli by four innings.
