Preliminary Delimitation of National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies 2022 Issue by ECP
The election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the preliminary report of delimitations of the National assembly and all four provincial assemblies. Preliminary Delimitation of National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies 2022 – New Revised Halqa Bandi 2022
The Election Commission has published the report of the initial delimitation along with the list (Form 5) for public awareness. The publication of delimitation will continue for 30 days (June 1 to June 30, 2022).
Seats have been reduced from 342 to 336 ie 6 seats in the lower house.
National Assembly Seats Decreased
According to the Election Commission, the number of general seats in the National Assembly has been reduced to 266 according to the new constituencies. Increased to 16, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa increased from 35 to 45, Punjab decreased from 148 to 141, Sindh retained 61, one seat of Federal Capital increased to 3 while FATA lost 12 seats.
Women Quota Seats
According to the latest data of the Election Commission regarding reserved seats, the number of women’s seats in Balochistan has been increased from three to four. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it has been reduced from 8 to 10, in Punjab it has been reduced from 35 to 32, in Sindh it has been reduced to 14.
Minority Quota Seats
Besides, the number of minority seats has been maintained at 10.
Provincial Assemblies Seat (Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan)
There will be 65 seats out of which General seats will be 51, Total seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will be 145 and General seats will be 115, Total seats in Punjab Assembly will be 371 and General seats will be 297 while Total seats in Sindh Assembly will be 168 and General seats 130.
Appeal Against Preliminary Demilitations
According to a statement issued by the Election Commission, the voters of the constituency concerned can raise objections in the initial constituencies.
الیکشن کمیشن نے ابتدائی حلقہ بندیوں کی رپورٹ بمعہ فہرست (فارم 5) عوام الناس کی آگاہی کیلئے شائع کر دی ہے‘حلقہ بندیوں کی اشاعت 30 دن (یکم جون سے 30 جون 2022) تک جاری رہے گی‘الیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق قومی اسمبلی میں نشستیں 342 سے کم ہوکر 336 ہو گئی ہیںیعنی کہ ایوان زیریں کی 6سیٹیں کم ہوگئی ہیں ،الیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق نئی حلقہ بندیوں کے حساب سے قومی اسمبلی میں جنرل نشستوں کی تعداد 266 ہوگئی ہے،بلوچستان میں قومی اسمبلی کی جنرل نشستوں کی تعداد 14 سے بڑھ کر 16 ہوگئی ہے، خیبر پختونخوا میں 35 سے بڑھ کر 45 ہوگئی ہے، پنجاب کی 148 سے کم ہوکر 141 ہوگئی ہے، سندھ کی 61 برقرار ہے، وفاقی دارالحکومت کی ایک نشست بڑھ کر 3 ہوگئی ہے جبکہ فاٹا کی 12 نشستیں ختم ہوگئی ہیں۔مخصوص نشستوں کے حوالے سے الیکشن کمیشن کے نئے اعداد و شمار کے مطابق بلوچستان میں خواتین کی نشستیں تین سے بڑھا کر 4 کردی گئی ہیں۔ خیبر پختونخوا میں 8 سے 10 کردی گئی ہیں، پنجاب میں 35 سے کم کرکے 32 کردی گئی ہیں، سندھ کی 14 برقرار ہیں۔اس کے علاوہ اقلیتی نشستوں کی تعداد 10 برقرار رکھی گئی ہے۔نئی حلقہ بندیوں کے مطابق بلوچستان کی صوبائی اسمبلی کی نشستیں 65 ہوں گی جن میں سے جنرل نشستیں 51 ہوں گی، خیبر پختوانخوا اسمبلی میں مجموعی نشستیں 145 اور جنرل نشستیں115 ہوں گی، پنجاب اسمبلی میں مجموعی نشستیں 371 اور جنرل نشستیں297 ہوں گی جبکہ سندھ اسمبلی میں مجموعی نشستیں 168 اور جنرل نشستیں 130 ہوں گی۔الیکشن کمیشن سے جاری بیان کے مطابق ابتدائی حلقہ بندیوں پر اعتراضات متعلقہ حلقہ کا ووٹر کر سکتا ہے۔
