Almost 2.1 million voters will cast their write votes.
The election arena will be set up in 219 wards of 42 cantonment boards across the country on September 12, with a total of 1,559 candidates in the fray and 2,197,741 voters to exercise their franchise, 11 male voters. 1,054,551 while 1,043,190 women will cast their votes.

Polling Time
Cantonment board elections across the country will be held today, polling will be held from 8 am to 5 pm without any break. There are fifteen hundred and sixty candidates in two hundred and six wards of forty-one cantonment boards.

The highest number of 183 candidates of PTI, 144 of PML-N and 113 of PPP are in the fray while 7 candidates have been elected unopposed.

While Candidates of TLP, Jamat e Islami, JUI, MQM are also contesting elections.
Media Coverage of Polling and Results
The Election Commission has issued a code of conduct under which media representatives will be allowed to go to polling stations with cameras during the election as well as make videos during voting and counting. The media will be able to release the results one hour after the polling ends.
