The third meeting of the coalition of opposition parties is being held today. However, in view of security concerns, very strict security arrangements have been made throughout the city, including the venue.
According to Express-News, the third meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is being held in Quetta today for which all preparations have been completed. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other leaders have arrived in Quetta to address the gathering.
They are there for the election.
In view of the threat of terrorism in Quetta, the provincial government and local administration have made very strict security arrangements, more than 4,000 police and FC personnel have been deployed for security. Motorcycle double riding is prohibited, as is mobile phone service throughout the city. In addition, in case of any untoward incident, an emergency has been declared in government hospitals to provide timely medical aid.
It should be noted that earlier PDM had held its first public meeting in Gujranwala while its second public meeting was held in Karachi.
